Description
The ZI2-12 intrinsically safe power supply is designed for the safe powering of electrical devices in Group I, Category M1, and M2, working in areas at risk of methane explosions, supplied from a single-phase 230 VAC network. The power supply is intended for installation on the surface in non-hazardous methane areas, inside control boxes or cabinets.
The design of the power supply complies with the requirements of the following standards to achieve the necessary intrinsic safety for the output:
PN-EN 60079-0:2013-03 + A11:2014-03: Explosive atmospheres – Part 0: Equipment – Basic requirements
PN-EN 60079-11:2012: Explosive atmospheres – Part 11: Equipment protection by intrinsic safety “i”.

Ex Zone
The device is designed for use in explosive atmospheres. It is intended for underground mining operations and surface mining areas where there is a risk of gas or dust explosions. Group I, Categories M1 and M2 – designed for mining facilities exposed to methane and coal dust, ensuring a very high level of safety with two independent protective measures. The device is deactivated if an explosive atmosphere is detected.
